Government Grant on EV Vehicles Chargers
OZEV EV Home Charging Scheme
Previously, Boris Johnson has announced the ban on the sales of fossil fuel vehicles from 2030 in the UK.
This prompted the government to adjust their government grant name of the department responsible for supporting the roll out of EV charging infrastructure from OLEV (Office for Low Emission Vehicle) to OZEV (Office for Zero-Emission Vehicles.) This government grant means you get up to £350 off your purchased charger and installation.
OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme
With the OZEV workplace charging scheme you can be eligible to receive £350 off each socket that is OZEV approved. Your total savings could be up to £14,000 with the expectation of having a maximum 40 sockets installed within your workplace car park.
The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles is a team working across government to support the transition to zero emission vehicles. The team is contributing their support to people for the taking of plug in vehicles as well as funding to support chargepoint infrastructure across the UK. By doing this you are helping contribute to economic growth and will help decrease greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution on our roads.
